Exploring Green Guidance

„Exploring Green Guidance” (EGG) to międzynarodowy projekt, w którym biorą udział organizacje, instytucje i eksperci z całej Europy: Polski, Czech, Słowacji, Wielkiej Brytanii, Norwegii, Portugalii, Danii i Francji.

  • Zbadanie, przeanalizowanie i opracowanie koncepcji green guidance – zielonego doradztwa (zawodowego).
  • Przedstawienie doradczyniom i doradcom zawodowym podejścia, które mogą wykorzystać do rozwijania zdolności swoich uczniów i klientów do rozumienia zmian klimatycznych i reagowania na nie w ramach dokonywanych wyborów edukacyjno-zawodowych.
  • przeprowadzenie badania ankietowego skierowanego do doradczyń i doradców zawodowych oraz ekspertów związanych z edukacją i rynkiem pracy z różnych krajów europejskich;
  • desk research, czyli analiza istniejącej literatury naukowej oraz programów i polityk, które adresują kwestie klimatyczne w odniesieniu do doradztwa zawodowego;
    powołanie zespołu ekspertek i ekspertów i w ramach tzw. Innovation Factories (Warsztaty Innowacji), wspólne opracowanie materiałów merytorycznych: metod, scenariuszy, pomysłów i wskazówek;
  • publikacja opracowanych materiałów edukacyjnych, takich jak: informator ze źródłami wiedzy na temat planowania zrównoważonego rozwoju zawodowego; poradnik dla doradców wraz z zestawem praktycznych narzędzi do realizacji działań z zakresu „zielonego doradztwa”; narzędzie do audytu służące doradcom i organizacjom do zidentyfikowania podejmowanych praktyk z zakresu „zielonego doradztwa” oraz zaplanowania kolejnych działań.
  • stworzenie sieci ambasadorów (w Polsce i w Europie), którzy staną się specjalistami w zakresie realizacji działań z dziedziny „zielonego doradztwa zawodowego”.

Dzięki międzynarodowej współpracy instytucji, uczelni wyższych, organizacji i ekspertów, poprzez realizację projektu „Exploring Green Guidance”, projekt ma ambicję rozwinąć potencjał idei „zielonego doradztwa” w krajach partnerskich projektu oraz w całej Europie i realnie przyczynić się do zmian, które pomogą ludziom kreować swoje życie w sposób zrównoważony i z poszanowaniem środowiska naturalnego.

  • Green guidance is a development of career guidance in which people are supported to make their education, training and employment choices with an awareness of and concern about the climate crisis and other environmental issues. Green guidance is not just about directing workers into a small sub-set of ‘sustainable’ industries, although it definitely addresses this, rather it is about helping people to understand the environmental impacts of their working lives and develop more positive and sustainable ways forward.

    This project is designed to meet the following objectives:

    • Developing the concept of green guidance and exploring its practical implications by pooling knowledge and experience from across a range of countries.
    • Providing career guidance practitioners and VET staff with an approach that they can use to develop their learners and clients’ capacity to understand and respond to climate change in their education and employment choices.
    • Supporting practice in green guidance with a handbook, audit tool and resources.

    Green guidance is a concept that has been used extensively to discuss the career guidance field’s response to the climate crisis. However, it has largely remained as an academic debating point and has, so far, not been able to influence practice in the field very much.

    This project innovates by taking an academic concept and using a process of research, practice sharing and development to create a model for practice and tools to support this model. The needs analysis shows that there is a considerable lack of tools, methods and resources for teachers and practitioners.

    Green guidance also has the potential to promote green growth and stimulate ecological innovation by promoting career choices that can help reduce environmental impacts and enhance resource efficiency and can generate economic value and social benefits by creating new markets, business opportunities and jobs linked to the green transition.

    These objectives will guide the creation of useful outputs for career practitioners in education and employment sector:

    • A green guidance handbook. This will define green guidance and set out an approach for delivering it. It will draw on extant research on the subject as well as findings gathered in the project to provide models, advice and examples for practitioners working in the field.
    • A resource pack. Providing a series of practical tools for the delivery of green guidance based on experiences gathered from across partner countries. These are likely to include interview framework, lesson plans, learning resources, and curriculum and assessment schema.
    • A sustainability audit tool for career guidance. This will provide a simple tool for practitioners, services and organisations to audit their existing practice and identify ways in which green guidance could be integrated into it.
    • An impact report – summarizing the experience and recommendations from the implementation of green guidance into practice with different target groups
